Teacher:
A person who cares enough about abusive and ungrateful teens to work for crappy pay and long hours while hoping someday students mature enough to realize how lucky they are to have someone who gives a shit about them.
Example: My teacher may have been a bitch sometimes, but she never gave up on me and I'm happy about that.

It's fortunately not exactly my case.
My students are teenagers and early twentiers. They aren't abusive but i have a feeling they are ungrateful. They are not very motivated and just don't open their mouths.
Unfortunately Spanish is a required language credit they need to graduate. Perhaps I shouldn't the effort I am making and instead just fulfill my duties mechanically.
But you know, I can't. So it is frustrating at times. I'm still enjoying it. That's the conradiction.
What happened to the good old days when teachers were just those people who knew you by your roll numbers?
Its people like you who have screwed that up with your commitment, passion and dedication towards the craft of teaching.

what compliments! I agree with you fugly man. We the ungratefully students worldwide should protest this abuse by teachers who feel the need to be committed and passionate.
